Following basic surgical training in London, I carried out Specialist Registrar training in Trauma & Orthopaedics on the North East Thames (Royal London Rotation). Following the FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam, I undertook a spinal fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, where I gained an excellent surgical experience across the full range of spinal procedures. My NHS practice is at Southend University Hospital, where I am actively involved in the development and expansion of the spinal unit. I have an academic interest, having published in peer review journals and presented at National and International meetings. I am also actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors and wrote a spinal chapter in an orthopaedic text book.

My specialist interest is in degenerative conditions of the spine, spinal deformity, trauma, infections and tumours of the spine. Patients can expect to receive a careful assessment of their condition and guidance towards an optimal management plan tailored to each individual’s needs. As a spinal surgeon, I perform the following procedures when clinically indicated; microdiscectomy for disc prolapse, spinal decompression for spinal stenosis, cervical discectomy with fusion/disc replacement, lumbar fusion (including posterior and intervertebral PLIF or TLIF), cement augmentation (kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty) for osteoporotic fractures or spinal tumours and stabilisation for trauma or tumours.”][vc_empty_space alter_height=”small” hide_on_mobile=”” css=”.vc_custom_1496392380134{margin-top: -0.9rem !important;}”][trx_sc_button type=”simple” icon_position=”left” link=”/about-us-style-1/” title=”More about us”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″ offset=”vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm”][vc_empty_space alter_height=”large” hide_on_mobile=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1089″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space alter_height=”medium” hide_on_mobile=”” css=”.vc_custom_1496392882093{margin-top: 0.75rem !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space hide_on_mobile=”” css=”.vc_custom_1496402162214{margin-top: -0.5rem !important;}”][trx_sc_action type=”simple” full_height=”” actions=”%5B%7B%22position%22%3A%22ml%22%2C%22title%22%3A%22Popular%20treatments%22%2C%22subtitle%22%3A%22I%20perform%20the%20following%20procedures%20when%20clinically%20indicated%22%2C%22link%22%3A%22%2Ffind-a-physician%2F%22%2C%22link_text%22%3A%22View%20All%20Specialties%22%7D%5D” title_style=”default” title_tag=”h5″][vc_empty_space alter_height=”medium” hide_on_mobile=”” css=”.vc_custom_1496402524538{margin-top: 1.3rem !important;}”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column][trx_sc_services type=”hover” featured=”image” hide_excerpt=”1″ no_margin=”1″ hide_bg_image=”” cat=”36″ orderby=”post_date” order=”desc” slider=”” title_style=”default” count=”5″ columns=”5″ css=”.vc_custom_1779297691414{margin-left: 10px !important;border-left-width: 10px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1492002447061{background-image: url(https://johnnykhoury.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/bg-18.jpg?id=434) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}”][vc_column width=”7/12″][vc_empty_space alter_height=”huge” hide_on_mobile=”” css=”.vc_custom_1496408658582{margin-top: 0.8rem !important;}”][trx_sc_title title_style=”default” title_tag=”h3″ title=”Don’t put up with pain!
